Booker Park Has A New Farm!

Hey, Farm Friends!  My name is Dr. Kisha Jones: granddaughter of Leroy & Thelma Waters; daughter of Phyllis Brown and now 5th generation farmer.  I’m elated to be bringing my knowledge & passion for growing high quality, chemical-free food back to my home place of Indiantown, FL.

I’ve spent the last decade as an Internal Medicine physician while growing food on the side & learning on various farms in the U.S. and abroad.  For now, my journey in medicine has ended and I’m content to spend my days healing the land.

I have begun the arduous, but joyful task of converting ancestral land in Booker Park into a sustainable, regenerative farm called Mahaba Farms.  ‘Mahaba’ is a Swahili noun meaning ‘love.’  To me, there is no better way to express love than through food.  I believe everyone deserves access to life giving food.  My intention is for Mahaba Farms to be an epicenter of love in Booker Park which will send ripples beyond these boundaries.  Mahaba Farms will be offering our community high quality, chemical-free, non-GMO, seasonal produce for purchase (with an emphasis on heirloom, subtropical/tropical crops); as well as seasonal flower bouquets.

As a Farm Friend, you will receive this newsletter routinely informing you of farm happenings, in addition to being the first to know of limited edition/short supply item availability, pre-sales, and other exclusive farm related news.

Thank you in advance for your support of Mahaba Farms!

I look forward to serving you.

Kisha
