All around the farm, there are signs that Summer is near.

My first Blanket flowers (Gaillardia) are in bloom🙌🏾

Sunflowers aren’t yet blooming, but their sturdy stalks are popping up around the farm now. I’ve been sowing them generously every other week with visions of continuous sunflower bouquets in mind🤩

The avocado trees I planted last Summer are now flowering🙌🏾

As the heat escalates, the plants that love it will thrive; while those that don’t will struggle through till it’s cool again or will die before Summer’s end. This is Nature’s design. Everything has a season.

The plants can serve as a reminder that as living beings, we too have a season for all things. It’s time to release some things in this season.

Maybe they’ll return.

Maybe they won’t.
