Daily Gratitude

The practice of identifying things to be grateful for is one I’ve long adhered to in my daily gratitude journaling. Each day I write down at least 3 things I am grateful for (“Today I am grateful for: 1….2….3…). The worse the day, the more important I believe it is to maintain this practice. On days it is seemingly harder to find something to be grateful for, this practice puts into perspective that there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for💯. You need only the discipline to look for it.

Though I don’t observe the colonizer “holiday” of Thanksgiving, I do recognize that for many people, this is their sole prompt to take a moment to give thanks for their many blessings. If this is you, I challenge you to extend this thanksgiving beyond a single day & watch how your life + mind change.

However long you choose to count your blessings, don’t forget the little things🙏🏾
